Many of us suffer from achy muscles and muscle pain conditions that are caused by trigger points or 'knots'. Trigger Point Therapy uses a variety of techniques to 'deactivate' these knots and release you body's pain. If applied properly this therapy can decrease pain in the affected areas.
Myofascial Release is a manual therapy used for the treatment and rehab of fascial pains, tension and restrictions. Myofascial Release is a type of massage that is used to alleviate tension, restrictions and adhesions to the connective tissue in and around the muscles in order to promote balance and functionality.
Swedish Massage is an amazing de-stressing therapy. Designed to relax the muscle, it focuses on he superficial part of the body. Long, smooth massage strokes, kneading and tapping are used to massage the muscle tissue gently. This increases the level of oxygen in the blood, releasing toxicity and increasing circulation providing an overall sense of relaxation to your mind, body and soul.
After an exam of your pain and injury a massage therapist will use their hands to determine if a joint in your body requires manual manipulation. These are commonly called 'locked joints'. This specific treatment is often focused on the spine, knee, shoulder and hip.
Muscle Energy Technique is a direct and active technique. It engages a specific muscle band and requires the patient's active participation to released the tension. As the patient performs a contraction, along with the therapists movements, the tissue releases in this non-invasive modality.
End Range Loading is a technique that takes various human tissues into a state of tension followed by an overpressure at the end. It is designed to reduce pain while improving the body tissue's homeostasis.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle approach that releases tension in the body to decrease pain and improve the body, health and overall happiness. A soft touch is applied to release restrictions in the tissues that surround our system. Craniosacral Therapy can be used as a great preventative health technique. From decreasing resistance to muscle and body aches to acting as an effective treatment for medical ailments associated with pain and balance.
Somato Emotional Release is a therapeutic process that uses the principles of Craniosacral Therapy. This form of treatment is meant to help rid both the mind and body of residual effects of trauma.
Sports Massage is performed on individuals who partake in physical sporting activities. It stimulates the muscles and decreases injuries in tissue from overuse. This technique is also used to increase flexibility and performance. Sports Massage can be a fully body massage, or targeted to specific areas on the body that need the most work. A variety of techniques can be applied from deep to relaxing to stimulating.
Medical Massage is performed in specific areas of the body based on a diagnosis from a doctor. It in intended to decrease recovery time and enhance the body's ability to heal while deescalating the traumatized tissue.
Therapeutic Exercises are recommended to address problems in certain body parts. Using frequency, intensity and duration recommendations, your RMT will let you know how you can help yourself post treatment.
Pregnancy Massage helps relieve back pain, improve sleeping patterns and boost immune systems, in addition to decreasing stress and pain in the body. Pregnancy Massage is preformed face down or on your side. Often pillows are used to comfort your body. Women often many improvements post treatment such as relaxation, better posture and breath work.
"I suffer from chronic back pain related to the work I do, therefore I have been seeing a number of RMTs in the past 10+ years. I'm so glad I've found Melinda, she is by bar the best! I highly recommend her to anybody!
Her clinic has a great atmosphere and it is very clean and inviting. She always provides exceptional service and her knowledge of anatomy is phenomenal. She uses a variety of techniques tailored to each individual's needs and pains. She is very thorough, listens to my concerns and provides the massage accordingly to solve the problems.
I feel so much better after each treatment and I cannot wait for the next one."

"I received treatments from Melinda for a variety of lower back, leg and shoulder issues in the past three years.
After every treatment, my conditions improved and eventually disappeared.
Based on my own experiences, I can honestly say that Melinda is a top-tier massage therapist.
Her devotion to find healing solutions to people's conditions is rare and exceptional.
My last visit was accommodated in Melinda's recently opened home-based clinic.
In her new clinic, the atmosphere is professional but much warmer and friendlier than in any regular healthcare ambience.
The spacious treatment room is very well equipped. It also has extras such as variable mood lighting to accommodate diverse emotional states.
I will definitely come back to Melinda with all of my future massage therapy needs.
Without hesitation, I can recommend her services to anyone looking for healing through professional massage therapy."

"I have known Melinda for a long time, even before she decided to become a massage therapist and I'm so glad she did.
I was one of the few people that were happy to have her “practice" on me while she was taking her program.
She is still my massage therapist today and I wouldn’t have anyone else. I am a hairstylist and I recommend her to my clients all the time. She is one of the best massage therapist I've ever had. She takes her profession very seriously, continues to take courses to keep up with the times to further educate herself about new treatment options if any. I personally appreciate that.
Once you try her you wouldn’t want to see anyone else!!!"
